“I walked Nic through my ideas for a water damage renovation and he said it was absolutely achievable! While he was there, I also asked him to address the cracks in my walls. He then put together a quote for all the items needing to be done and broke the project down into pieces (with associated costs) so we could decide what all we wanted to do. He took the time to make sure I understood the scope of work, laid out the timeline and shortly after, he was able to get me on the schedule. The work he and his team were able to do (shout out to Martin!) was flawless. They took the time to cover everything and move all my furniture. I even had them paint the whole house inside. Nic custom built the book shelving and helped me to custom design my new pantry. It was a big project and they worked diligently and respectfully. I would highly recommend Nic’s work. He was professional, relatable and a great communicator throughout the entire project.”

“We converted our detached garage into to my full-time office space. I was going to be spending a lot of time here, so it had to be perfect. As with any large project, there were lots of decisions to be made and unexpected challenges that arose. For example, the tree in our backyard was in exactly the wrong spot to have the attic stairs land where we'd planned. Nic was very collaborative in finding a solution. Throughout the project, Nic was responsive, communicative and courteous. He takes joy in his work and is very knowledgeable and kind. He and his team of subcontractors were consultative, solution-oriented and dedicated to a fantastic end result. Nic is what you want in a GC. Many years ago, I made a personal policy that I would no longer refer contractors to friends. It seemed like every time I did, that friend would have a different experience than me or the contractor would prove to be unreliable (and then it’s awkward). Nic is the first contractor that caused me to break that policy on referrals. In fact, I have recommended Nic to a few friends and they’ve all had the same wonderful experience we’ve had. Can’t recommend Petterson Homes enough!”

“Nic remodeled our master bathroom and built a walk-in closet for us. It was an involved project requiring rerouting plumbing and sewer pipes within the foundation, moving walls, adding a window through a brick wall, relocating air conditioning ducts, and completely rewiring the back of our house. He was excellent at discussing how design alternatives affected each element above and at recommending the optimum approach so we could have our dream bath. Nic communicated clearly, professionally, and sincerely throughout the project. He insisted the job site was immaculate at the end of each day. He paid very close attention to the fit and finish of every detail. Our tile design was fairly intricate and his tiling subcontractor did an outstanding job. Shiplap, flooring, cabinetry, trim and painting were all beautiful. Nic provided us with a very reasonable quotation up front. Our project was completed on time and on budget. And the results are amazing. We couldn’t be happier. Nic was a pleasure to work with and we would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone.”

“Working with Nic and his team was the best experience! This project was my first ever remodel and I heard from many people how crucial it is to find a general contractor who is honest, does good work, and is on time. Nic and the team were all that and more! When issues would arise, Nic would problem solve and come up with solutions. I trusted Nic and his team to make certain decisions without my approval. For example, we had planned to have outlets installed on the sides of the kitchen island. When installation came, they decided to put the outlets under the island countertop which looked so much better than interrupting the design of the island! That also shows the attention to detail and care he has for his work! Additionally, in a process that could've been extremely overwhelming, Nic made it much easier by giving us a detailed timeline of when certain decisions needed to be made, so we didn't have to make every decision right away. 12/10 recommend!”

“Nic always made sure we were aware of the next phase of the project. We removed three walls (one weight bearing) and a closet to open our living space into a beautiful open area. This project required opening the ceiling to install two beams to replace the weight bearing wall. We had demolition crews, framers, electricians, plumbers, and granite workers. Each and every subcontractor was respectful of the fact that this was our home, and that we were living in our home in the middle of the remodel. They protected our personal belongings as much as possible. They cleaned up as much as possible at the end of the day and let us know when we could expect them in the morning. We were so comfortable with the subs that we even decided to leave the home for a week to visit our son in Galveston. We gave Nic a key and off we went. Nic even sent me pictures of the progress!! We couldn't be more pleased with the end result. Nic's knowledge of his craft and his attention to detail exceeded our expectations. I feel like we've made a new friend. I already have the next project in mind!!”
